Passionate about volunteering and gardening?

You can become a Master Gardener by participating in the Master Gardener Core Training. ISU Extension & Outreach is providing 40 hours of training for new Master Gardeners on Tuesdays in September, October and November in locations across the state. Read the press release here.

Training is hosted in Altoona, Ames,  Bloomfield, Carroll, Cedar Rapids, Cherokee, Dubuque, Fairfield, Indianola, Iowa City, Knoxville, Maquoketa, Mason City, Monticello, Mount Pleasant, Muscatine, Osceola, Rock Rapids, Sac City, Sioux City, TiptonWashington, Waterloo, and West Burlington.


Food Security in Iowa Webinars

Master Gardeners will gain educational hours while learning about the realities of hunger in Iowa, the best way to work with food banks, donation garden food safety, and more. Three two-hour webinars will be offered at an ISU Extension & Outreach county office near you. To register for the winter webinar series and find out more, contact your county office today!
